The Uitmarkt lasts the entire weekend, until Sunday evening. A lot of theaters and performers present themselves with free (or almost free) short (30 minutes) performances.

This year, the Uitmarkt takes place at Museumplein, Leidseplein and the Vondelpark. Performances will be held at numerous theatres, museums and at venues near these three primary locations. A book market can be found on Museumplein and a world of information is available at stands en route between Leidseplein and Museumplein.

On Friday evening at 8.55pm the official opening of the Uitmarkt takes place on Museumplein square (behind the Rijksmuseum) on the UPC Stage, with various performances.

The 3 main locations of the Uitmarkt 2011 are Museumplein square, Leidseplein square and Vondelpark. (See numbers 1, 7 and 15 on this map).
