Last night, a new collective labour agreement has been reached between the city cleaners and the municipal authorities.

Tomorrow (Sunday) the cleaners will start working again.

It may take some time before the backlog of garbage has been worked away. Large piles of garbage had formed the last few days, especially in the centre of Amsterdam.
