 New directive: Amsterdam police officers can no longer smoke marihuana

In the new behaviour directive for 2008 for Amsterdam police officers it is forbidden for police staff to use soft drugs in their own spare time.

This is added in the directive because police staff have an example function to the public in general.
The directive does not mention sanctions for officers who do use soft drugs. The idea is that in case of drug problems, in first instance help is to be provided, not punishment.
