It was especially busy at the start of the route (at Museumplein), and at the end (at the Olympic Stadium).

The police reported no incidents.

Today is the second day of the Giro in Amsterdam. Today's route goes to the city of Utrecht, and also starts at Museumplein, behind the Rijksmuseum.

Tomorrow is the last day of the Giro in Amsterdam, the tour then ends in Middelburg. After that, the cyclists will finish the tour in Italy itself.

Although the cleaners in Amsterdam are on strike for a week, they have agreed to clean the route of the Giro, and the area just around it. Elsewhere in Amsterdam, the garbage is already piling up.
