In the National Museum of Antiquities in Leiden (Rijksmuseum voor Oudheden) is an interesting exhibition of old jewellery.

An overview exhibition of the most beautiful jewels from the museum’s collection, with items from the ancient Near East, Egypt, the Roman Empire and the ancient Netherlands.
The magnificent necklace of a prehistoric warrior, a pharaoh’s silver diadem, the fine seal ring of a well-to-do Roman, the beaded necklace of a medieval damsel. More than 7,500 years of brilliant decoration in an overview exhibition of items from the museum’s own collection.

The National Museum of Antiquities is located in the old city of Leiden, which is about 35 minutes by train from Amsterdam Central Station (about 5 to 6 trains per hour go there, from early morning till midnight).
The address of the museum is Rapenburg 28, a 10-15 minutes walk through the old centre of Leiden. On this page there is a map, indicating the museum.

The exhibition will last until March 23.
