At the occasion of Valentine's Day, the Animal Protection Society in the Netherlands has started a campaign for cat castration.
According to the Society, there are too many cats, resulting in a growing number of stray cats, abandoned cats and full animal asylums.
During the campaign (motto: 'Love is in the air', sub-motto: 'Hot pussies, the results are disastrous'), cat owners can have their cats sterilized at a discount price. The discount is paid for by the Animal Protection Society and sponsored by an animal health insurance company.
