Train derailed near Amsterdam Central Station - Airport connection affected

This evening, a freight train has derailed close to the Central Station of Amsterdam.

The train services to and from Schiphol Airport are affected - there are hardly any trains.
Also trains to Haarlem, Alkmaar and Zaandam are affected.
Travellers should count on delays of up to 45 minutes.

It is unknown at this time how long the problems will last. It is likely that the delays will persist until next morning (June 7).

The railway website has the latest information, but only in Dutch (click on 'Storingen' on the sites front page). You may also phone 0900-9292 (E 0.70 p.m.).
