Today's Amsterdam public transport strike ended

The public transport strike that was planned for this morning, has ended at 8.30am.

The strike did not lead to many problems, most people seemed to be informed and had arranged for alternative transportation.

In the afternoon there is a meeting of city workers near the City Hall. This does not appear to affect the public transport in Amsterdam.

More strikes are planned for the coming weeks, also by rail workers. Information about this is on http://www.simplyamsterdam.nl/public_transport_strike_amsterdam.htm.
