Public transport in Amsterdam probably to strike

Due to failed negotations about labour conditions, civil servants employed by municipalities will probably go on strike.

The first actions by the public transport workers in Amsterdam are planned for May 30 (6am to 9am and 1pm to 4pm) and June 9 the entire day.

This affects only buses, trams and metros in Amsterdam and other cities.

Trains (such as those to and from the airport) are not affected.

On the strike days it may be difficult to get a taxi, so if you need to travel, you will likely need more time.

More news will be published here when it becomes available.
