Princess Máxima gives birth to second daughter

Princess Máxima, wife of Crown Prince Willem Alexander, has given birth to her second child, this afternoon.

The child (of which the name is still unknown) was born in the Bronovo Hospital in Den Haag (The Hague), at 2.40 pm today. The baby and her mother are in good health. She weighs 3490 grams and is 50 cm long.

The baby is the 5th grandchild of Queen Beatrix, and the third in line for accession to the throne (nr 1 is Prince Willem Alexander and nr 2 is Princess Amalia, the first daughter).

The name of the baby will be made known when Prince Willem Alexander reports the child with the city authorities in Den Haag, on Wednesday or Thursday.
