Madeleine Albright discusses her latest book in Amsterdam

Madelein Albright, the former Secretary of State of the United States, will visit Amsterdam to discuss her latest book.

In her new book – The Mighty and the Almighty (De Macht en de Almacht) – Madeleine Albright tackles the thorny subject of the role of faith in international relations. Albright rejects the notion of a 'clash of civilizations' and calls for America to take a nuanced approach to international confrontations.

The evening will be held by the John Adams Institute, in the Koepelzaal (address: Kattengat 1). The evening starts at 8pm, and the entrance fee is E 20.-.
The Koepelzaal is the dome-shaped building close to the Central Station, now part of the Renaissance Hotel, and a listed monument. It used to be a 17th century Lutheran church, now used for concerts, meetings, etc.

The John Adams Institute is an independent, nonprofit foundation dedicated to furthering cultural exchange between the USA and the Netherlands.
