Johan Cruijff (25 April 1947 - 24 March 2016) was one of the most famous Dutch soccer stars. After he moved permanently to Barcelona, he continued to be influential in the Dutch soccer world and in the organization of Ajax, the soccer club where Johan started.
As he was born and bred in Amsterdam, there are several places of interest that are now frequently visited by admirers. The stadium Amsterdam Arena will be named after him, in the course of 2017.
