This is one of the oldest shops in Amsterdam. Jacob Hooy set up his first shop in Barndesteeg (a little side street of Nieuwmarkt Square), but 2 years later, 1745, he moved to the current location at Kloveniersburgwal.
Inside you can still find very old vessels and other parts of the interior, in which the tea and herbs are stored. The shop also sells other modern drug store articles.
