Gay fair Rainbow Experience only gets 3500 visitors

The gay consumer fair 'Rainbow Experience' has drawn far less visitors than expected.

The fair was held in the RAI Congress Centre this weekend, and at least 20,000 visitors were expected.
However, the fair has almost ended and only 3,500 visitors attended the fair so far.

The fair consisted of parties, debates and a general consumer fair with all sorts of 'lifestyle' products (clothes, travel, design, etc.).

The organizers say it may have to do with the nice weather in the weekend and the fact it is a new event.
A spokesman of the Gay Business Association has said similar events in the past also were not successful, showing the gay community is not really interested in 'gay sofas' and 'gay bathtubs'.
