Organizers of large concerts and festivals warn against fake tickets that are on the market.
Research shows that organized crime is increasing on the market of forged concert tickets. Mostly hit are large concerts, parties and festivals, which are likely to be sold out.
Thousands of phoney tickets have already been sold, especially on websites such as Ebay and (in Holland) Marktplaats.nl.
Forged tickets are known to be offered for the North Sea Jazz Festival, Dance Valley, Mysteryland, Van Morrison, The Chemical Brothers and Anastacia.
Organizers have announced that they will check the tickets thoroughly. This also happened at the dance festival DefQon, where Ticketbox refused 600 people with fake tickets.
