Amsterdam city cleaners on strike for 3 days

City cleaners in Amsterdam, Utrecht and Groningen are on strike from today until Wednesday.

Thursday they will start work again. Garbage will not be collected during the strike, litter bins on the street not emptied and the streets will not be cleaned.

The strike is about a collective labour agreement. The negotiations for the new salaries have been dragging on for a year now.
